The conversation delved into Bick's Every God series on view at AMR, exploring the parallels in both artists respective processes, the element of time, and their commitments to rigorous standards. And I have to be honest, I tap into painting, like, people take mushrooms, I mean, to that level of like, jumping into something that I'm open and I'm like, give it to me. Bring it on. I'm open to it. As more I'm open, the painting tells me more, gives me more information. And as I get older, I'm more open, because I'm not trying to force painting to be something. I'm not trying to say something, I'm trying to hear something. So, it's all like, really growing on me. It's growing on me all the time, and I'm probably going to be like Louise Bourgeois painting in the age of 103 and screaming at everybody, but it's fine. I'm okay with that. I hope so. ”
